Bottlebrush Down
An apparition of a Bronze Age horseman is said to frequent Bottlebrush Down, and has even been witnessed by a respected archaeologist. The B3081 crosses an old Roman Road and then the Cursus, and this is approximately where the horseman travels on his route. He has also been sighted at Squirrel's Corner.
